Power Line adhesives/sealants are both polyurethane and hybrid: they are single-component products that require no mixing and require no special equipment.

These products cure upon contact with moisture and activate their full strength, creating a very strong seal. Below is an overview of the most commonly used products in the marine, construction, automotive, and industrial sectors. Among the main ones:

3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant 4000 UV is a single-component sealant that cures to create a compact, rubbery, watertight seal. It features excellent UV resistance for applications on glass curtain walls; can be used above or below the waterline.

3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 is extremely strong and maintains its strength above or below the waterline. It also remains flexible and contours to the structure. It features excellent weather and seawater resistance, for watertight bonds.

3M™ Polyurethane Glass Sealant 590 is a fast-curing, high-viscosity, one-component polyurethane sealant for bonding windshields and other substrates requiring a high or structural bond. Impact tested (FMVSS 212). Open time 15 minutes.

3M™ Polyurethane Sealant 560 is used to bond a variety of materials, including plastics, FRP, SMC, aluminum, steel, coated metal, and wood. Particularly robust, it is ideal for applications requiring a stronger bond, such as bonding panels and more. Paintable, rated for flame and smoke protection.

3M™ Fast Cure Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant 550 is a low-viscosity, multi-purpose adhesive sealant that quickly and easily seals and bonds a variety of substrates, including concrete, wood, aluminum, most painted metals, polyester, glass, and stone. Perfect for bonding vertical and horizontal expansion joints, control joints in concrete and masonry; permanently elastic to accommodate joint movement, it offers excellent weather resistance.

3M™ 540 Polyurethane Adhesive Sealant is a single-component, moisture-curing adhesive that fills gaps and creates permanently elastic seals and bonds in a wide variety of service environments. Multi-purpose bonding and long-lasting sealing, it seals vertical and horizontal expansion joints.

3M™ Marine Fast-Cure Adhesive Sealant 4200FC is a one-component, multipurpose polyurethane that chemically reacts with moisture to provide a flexible bond with good adhesion and a flexible seal on most materials. Certified and compliant with the Marine Equipment Directive (MED 96/98/EC, the current certificate is valid until March 6, 2017), it can be used above or below the waterline.

3M™ Marine Silicone Sealant 3200 is a one-component, paste-like material that cures to a rubbery solid when exposed to moisture and air. It seals a wide range of substrates and can be applied to vertical surfaces thanks to its anti-sag formula. Available in white, black, and clear.

3M™ Hybrid Adhesive Sealant 780 is a one-component, isocyanate-free elastomeric sealant. It cures rapidly when exposed to atmospheric moisture, forming a flexible, strong bond with excellent adhesion to most materials.
