3M 250 Scotch® Smooth Backing Masking Tape is used as a quality control check tape for paint adhesion. It features high peel adhesion and a durable flat-backed paper backing. It is ideal for banding and wrapping applications.
Strong adhesion and residue-free removal Scotch® 250 Flat Backing Masking Tape features a rubber adhesive that bonds instantly to a wide range of surfaces. It peels off easily and promotes residue-free removal, making it ideal for paint adhesion testing applications. The special flat-backed paper backing provides good tensile strength for protection against breakage. It also provides controlled unwind while remaining easy to tear and handle during the application process. Often used as a paint adhesion test tape, Flat Back Masking Tape 250 is also suitable for general sealing and bundling applications where a stronger paper backing is required.

The inside of the roll shows the date of manufacture to ensure transparency regarding the shelf life of this product. For optimal performance, use Scotch® 250 Flat Back Masking Tape within 18 months of the date of manufacture. Thanks to its unique properties, it can be certified to meet ASTM D 6123/D 6123M-97 standards. Scotch® 250 Flat Back Masking Tape has been used to conduct tests according to ASTM D-3359; however, this testing method does not promote or suggest the use of any particular tape. Designed and manufactured for a minimum adhesion to steel of 0.42 Nm according to ASTM D-3330 Method A.
