3M Scotch® Fine Line 218 tape is a high performance polypropylene plastic tape with low profile and high adherence for painting long straight lines and wide curves where a clear and sharp painting line is required. It is often used as a separation tape for high-value and personalized multi-colored painted lettering.

Scotch® Fine Line 218 tape is characterized by a natural rubber adhesive capable of guaranteeing the high instantaneous adhesion required for critical large-scale painting applications. This tape has proved ideal for painting long, straight lines, as well as for large and simple curves. The polypropylene backing is stiffer than vinyl thin-line tapes, while easily conforming to the corners. Scotch® Fine Line 218 tape is characterized by good resistance to solvents and humidity. It resists heat in hot cycles that reach 121°C for up to 30 minutes. Recommended applications: masking of fine lines, special vehicles, painting works in the nautical and aerospace sectors.
