Greater adhesion in practical packages Specially formulated for use with 3M™ acrylic foam tapes, our 3M™ 06396 adhesion promoter allows permanent fixing with most low surface energy plastics commonly used in the dashboard and parts interior and exterior finishing of cars. It works well with LSE plastics, as well as with TPO, PPO, PP, PC, PC and ABS. The liquid primer dries in 30-90 seconds to guarantee a fast and efficient application; once dry, it is ready to accept the fixing tape. The adhesion promoter is embedded in an easy-to-use sponge inside a notched package. Technicians simply have to tear off the top of the package at the indentations to expose the sponge and, using the lower part of the package as an applicator, apply the liquid to the finish or car component. Each sponge applicator package contains 2.5 cc of adhesion promoter, which is a sufficient quantity to cover up to 3810 square mm. The adhesion promoter can also be cleaned from most surfaces using MEK or acetone solvents.
